‘Free’ recipe kit, £100 Costa giftcard, £30 off hotels, £100 beauty calendar, cinema bundle

Hey there! I’ve got a little surprise for you at the end of this newsletter, but you’re going to have to be quick!

It’s been a great week for Chloe’s Deal Club, as I’ve had the chance to work with two of my dream brands - IKEA and Secret Escapes. Wow! 🥳

It kinda blows my mind that I furnished my first flat at uni with things from IKEA and I still shop there all the time, and now I’m working on campaigns with them. So thank you for supporting me and making really friggin’ cool things like this happen.

Honestly, if you’ve been thinking of starting a social media account to share something you’re passionate about, or a side hustle but have never got round to it. JUST START. You never know what cool things it could lead to so just go for it because life’s too short.

Motivational chat over. Let’s look at some deals and freebies.

Get a free SimplyCook box worth £9.99

🥘 Free SimplyCook Box Worth £9.99

This is a limited time offer!

You can get a box of 4 ‘free’ recipe kits from SimplyCook, and all you need to do is cover 50p postage. What a bargain!

This offer is usually £3 for postage, but I’ve negotiated with the SimplyCook team to get you it for only 50p!

These recipe kits are fantastic. Each of the 4 kits includes 3 flavour posts which could be spice blends, marinades, rubs, pastes, dips or garnishes. You simply add these flavour pots to your fresh ingredients to create restaurant quality dishes at home.

Here’s how to get your ‘free’ recipe kit:

  1. Tap the ‘claim your recipe kits’ button below

  2. Choose your 4 recipes - there’s hundreds to choose from

  3. Pay 50p postage and they’ll be delivered to your door within a few days

These SimplyCook kits are super popular because you buy your fresh ingredients at the supermarket as normal, which means you can tailor the meals to your own dietary requirements and also reduce waste.

Note: It is a subscription, but you’re in control and can manage this within your online SimplyCook account.

💭 Guess the Riddle

I’m full of holes, but strong as steel. What am I?

The answer is at the end of this newsletter.

What do you think of this calendar?

💄 LookFantastic Advent Calendar

The LookFantastic advent calendar caught my eye because it has some great brands! The calendar includes 27 beauty products and 13 of them are full size.

Here’s the stand out products for me:

  • Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream (full size) - worth £64

  • The Ordinary Multi-Peptide Eye Serum (full size) - worth £19.90

  • Sol de Janeiro Perfume Mist (full size) - worth £33

  • Anastasia Beverly Hills Eyeshadow Palette (full size) - worth £48

  • Medik8 Press and Glow Tonic (full size) - worth £28

  • ICONIC London Prep Set Flow (full size) - worth £25

  • MAC Lipsticks ‘Hug Me’ (full size) - worth £24

Just those products above are worth £241.90, so the calendar being £100 is fantastic value! You can see everything else that’s included by tapping below.

🤔 O2 Stopping Free Greggs

It’s been a good run, but from 12th September the free Greggs rewards on the O2 Priority app will be stopping. Every week, O2 and Virgin Media customers were able to get a free Greggs hot drink and sausage roll.

However, this is being replaced with £1 hot drink and £1 savoury treat (ie steak bake, pizza slice etc) instead.

I like that we now have a choice of the savoury item instead of it only being a sausage roll, but I’d still prefer a free sausage roll over a £1 steak bake! What’s your thoughts on this change?

Get extra £30 off holidays and hotels

☀️ £30 Holiday Discount Code

Last week we got SUCH a good deal on a luxury 5* hotel in Montenegro. You can tap here to see the hotel - can you believe it was only £86 a night and had all of that included?!

I booked this via Secret Escapes, who have up to 60% off hotels and holidays so you can bag luxury stays for less.

And you can get an extra £30 off bookings over £150 with code: CHLOEDC30

There’s hundreds of deals from cosy Lake District hotels to luxury Maldives villas.

They also specialise in Iceland holidays and I spotted some from only £349pp which includes flights, transfers + hotel, then you’d get an extra £30 off too with my code! With us being in a solar maximum (AKA best chance of seeing the northern lights!) right now, it’s an amazing time to visit Iceland! I’ve been to Iceland a few times so if you need travel tips, ask anytime!

Transparency: I’m working with Secret Escapes on Instagram/TikTok, but they never asked me to share this code in my newsletter. It’s just such a good deal and I want everyone to know about it to save money!

Get a cinema bundle for a tenner

🍿 Cineworld Sunday Bundle

Cineworld has introduced a Sunday Bundle where you can get all of this for only £10:

  • 1 x standard 2D film ticket (adult ot child)

  • 1 x regular popcorn (sweet or salted)

  • 1 x regular soft drink

You have to book this deal online, so there’s a 95p booking fee making it £10.95 total, and it’s only available on Sundays for films that start before 5pm.

It’s also available for IMAX, 4DX, ScreenX and Superscreen and you pay a ‘small uplift’ for the premium format you choose.

🤫 Free IKEA Breakfast

On Saturday 7th September, you can get a FREE breakfast at IKEA, and a £15 discount when you spend £50. But there’s just one catch…

How I saved money this week

🛍️ What I’ve Bought This Week

Here’s a couple of things I’ve bought this week and how I saved money on my purchases:

Teddy Bedding from Dunelm
This is the cosiest, fluffiest bedding you’ll ever buy and it’s great for winter! I always buy ours from Dunelm because the quality and fit is better than other brands I’ve bought and they have super king size.

  • Duvet & 2 pillow case set = £32

  • Fitted sheet = £17

  • 2 x pillow cases = £8

  • Total = £57

💰 How I saved money at Dunelm:
I went via TopCashback to get 1.11% cashback on the pre-VAT price (52p) and got 1% cashback by paying with my Chase card (57p). So in total, I saved £1.09

✨ Dry Shampoo from Amazon
Batiste is the GOAT of dry shampoo. I’ve tried various cheaper ones, but you just can’t beat Batiste. I ordered 6×200ml individual cans, even though there was a 6-pack option. Here’s why:

The 6-pack was reduced from £17.94 to £14.64 which £1.22/100ml. At first glance, you’d think this is good.

BUT the individual cans are reduced from £3.59 to £2.40, which is £1.20/100ml. So it’s actually a little cheaper to buy the 6 individual cans instead of the 6-pack.

💰 How I saved more money at Amazon
I bought the 6 individual cans on a Subscribe & Save to get them 10% cheaper at £2.16 per can which is £1.08/100ml.

So in total, I saved £5.10 by buying when they’re on sale, choosing individual cans with Subscribe & Save and paying with my Chase card for 1% cashback.

🐾 Free Felix Cat Food

This free Felix cat food sample I shared a few weeks ago is still available! You can claim these two samples: 1 x Doubly Delicious Adult Wet Cat Food with Beef & Poultry Mix in Jelly 100g and 1 x Felix Crispies Salmon & Trout Flavour Snack 15g

To get yours, just click the ‘claim your free cat food’ button below and complete the form. Your samples will be delivered within a few weeks.

Fancy a free coffee?

❤️ £100 Costa Gift Card

As a thank you for reading my newsletters, I’ve loaded £100 onto a Costa gift card so you can hopefully claim a free drink if you’re quick.

I only have one rule - please only order ONE DRINK. Don’t be that person and ruin it for others by ordering multiple drinks and using a huge chunk of the gift card for yourself. Karma will get ya if you do!

When you order your one drink, just ask the barista to scan the gift card to see if there’s balance left as I think this will run out quickly.

The gift card QR code is in the image above, so just screenshot and zoom in to scan it at Costa.

🧠 Question: Dynamic pricing

There’s been a lot of backlash from fans at artists (looking at you, Oasis) and ticketing platforms using dynamic pricing - where ticket prices surge based on demand.

It’s said to discourage ticket touting, but I feel it just comes across as greedy.

I’m personally against it for popular events like concert tickets, as you don’t know the price until you finally get through the queue which could take hours. Then the countdown clock puts additional pressure on people to spend more money that they maybe can’t afford.

Dynamic pricing is something we’re used to with flight prices and services like Uber, but it’s just not sitting right with me for event/concert tickets where you’re not seeing the price upfront before queuing. What’s your thoughts on it?

Are you for or against dynamic pricing?

And that’s a wrap!

Woohoo you made it to the end! Are there any deals you’d like to see in next week’s newsletter? Send me a reply as I’d love to hear them!
