🧠 Question: Standard or first class?

Last week, I got the train from Glasgow to London and treated myself to a first class ticket for the first time ever. It cost £146 more. It was by no means a good deal, but I actually really enjoyed the comfier seats, space and food.

I’ve since found out there’s a Standard Premium seat, which I’ll be trying next time. But which one is best value to you?

(I know I potentially could’ve got a better value upgrade with Seat Frog, which I usually use to bid on upgrades, but I wanted a guaranteed ticket so upgraded at the checkout. In hindsight, the train was super quiet and I probably would’ve won a Seat Frog bid, but hey, we live and learn!).
