Free hot choc & shower gel, £15 off beauty calendar, Halloween workshops, video game deals
and this might be the craziest but coolest deal I've seen where you can choose the price you pay for a skincare set
Free hot chocolate, crumpets & shower gel, £15 off beauty calendar, Halloween workshops, video game deals, free travel eSIM and Ideal Home Show tickets
Hey there! I have so many deals to share with you, that I had to add an extra section to this week’s newsletter so you’ve got a bumper edition today - woohoo! 🎉
Next up on our Beauty Advent Calendar review list is Glossybox and I’ll give you a hint: it’s one of, if not my most, favourite so far. The price is great for a calendar and the products are great too - I think you’ll love it.
I’ve also sourced loads of freebies for us including hot chocolate, shower gel, crumpets, Ideal Home Show tickets and three eSIMs.
So shall we have a look at the deals? Let’s goooo!
PS. Please vote on the poll at the end of this newsletter as I need your help deciding on a location!
🎄 £15 Off Glossybox Advent Calendar
Okayyyy, this is my top Beauty Advent Calendar I’ve reviewed so far! It’s £85 and every single product in this calendar is useable and the price is brilliant too (and there’s a sneaky way you can get an extra £15 off).
There’s 29 products included worth £585, here’s the stand out ones for me:
Iconic London Eyeshadow Palette (full size) - worth £45
Medik8 Hydra8 B5 Serum (full size) - worth £45
Spectrum 3 Piece Brush Set - worth £25
Sweed Lash Lift Mascara - worth £22
Pixi Lip Glow in Fleur (full size) - worth £14
Just those 5 products above are worth £151, and you still have another 24 products to unbox, so the calendar is fantastic value at £85! You can see everything else that’s included by tapping below.
⚡️ Get extra £15 off (wooo!)
If you add on a Glossybox beauty box subscription (£13.50 for 1 month or £12.50 for 12 months) you’ll get £15 off the Advent Calendar, making it only £70.
This is an amazing deal, because in the beauty box you’re going to get £50 worth of beauty products which you can keep for yourself or use it as a Christmas gift and that’s a present ticked off the list.
💭 Guess the Riddle
What do the letter ‘T’ and ‘island’ both have in common?
The answer is at the end of this newsletter.
🛁 Free Sanex Shower Gel
I’ve just checked and the free Sanex Shower Gel I shared recently is still available! Here’s how to claim yours:
Tap ‘claim your free shower gel’ below
Complete the form with your details
Click ‘Join Now’ and it should say ‘Thank you for your submission’ at the top of the top
Your freebie will arrive in a few weeks
Note: If you receive ‘details already exist’ after submitting, it could be because you claimed this last time I shared it or you claimed the free Colgate toothpaste as they’re part of the same group. If so, try a different email address and it should work.
🍫 Free Hot Chocolate
On Friday 27th September, you can get a free small hot chocolate from Knoops. They have 23 stores across the UK including Edinburgh, London, Belfast, Manchester, Newcastle etc.
To get yours, just download the free Knoops app and order your free small hot chocolate through the app. You can choose 28%, 34%, 54% or 70% strength.
The offer is available all day - their previous free drink offers ended at 12pm, so it’s great they’re being more flexible and extended it to the full day. Once you download the app, you’ll see this offer on your homepage. Will you be getting your freebie on Friday?
💰 The Ordinary ‘Choose A Price’
Well this is a breath of fresh air and has made me love The Ordinary even more.
The Ordinary has introduced a new pricing initiative called ‘Choose A Price’ where they’re offering three pricing options for their Daily Set at: the regular price, 23% off and 40% off.
This means you can select the price that suits your budget, making skincare more affordable, and those who still choose the regular price are supporting The Ordinary’s mission to make quality skincare accessible to more people.
I want to flag as well, that The Ordinary has such a good track record of putting their community first when it comes to pricing. A couple of years ago, they reviewed their prices and had to increase some BUT they also reduced some prices where they were able to. And in November they offer a month-long discount to encourage ‘slower shopping’ and actually close their online checkout on Black Friday so you’re not pressured into buying.

✈️ Free eSIM For Greece, Spain & Portugal
Are you travelling to Greece, Spain or Portugal soon? You can get a free eSIM with Airalo to save you money on data roaming costs.
What’s an eSIM, I hear you ask? It’s a digital SIM card that’s already installed in your smartphone (if you have a new-ish one) that allows you to activate mobile plans without using a physical SIM card, so they’re super handy to save money on roaming costs when travelling abroad.
Here’s the three free eSIM options from Airalo:
Spain = 1GB for 1 day
Greece = 100MB for 7 days
Portugal = 500MB for 3 days
Now these data allowance as aren’t huge so they probably won’t last you very long, but they could be helpful for you as a backup. Simply tap below and click ‘How to get your free eSIM’ banner at the bottom (as shown in photo above) then click the destination.
£2.50 bonus: I actually just signed up for Airalo today and they have a refer a friend scheme. So if you enter referral code CHLOE2843 when signing up, you’ll get £2.50 off your first purchase and I’ll receive £2.50 too. So thanks if you use my code!
🏡 Free Ideal Home Show Tickets
You can get free tickets to the Ideal Home Show Christmas at Olympia London with code: IHSXMSEFREE
The free tickets are available for Wed 27th, Thu 28th, Fri 29th, Sat 30th Nov and Sun 1st Dec. There’s limited amount of tickets each day so choose your date asap before they’re snapped up.
Whilst you’re there, your ticket will also get your free access to the Eat & Drink Christmas Festival.
✨ Curel Face Mist
You know how every so often, you come across a product and think “HOW did I live without this?!” Well, that’s this Curel Deep Moisture Spray face mist for me.
I bought this in Boots £10 Tuesday a few weeks ago because I kept seeing beauty influencers rave about. And woweeeeee it’s worth the hype!
So I spray it between my skincare layers, after applying foundation and over the top of makeup throughout the day and my skin is soooo hydrated. Honestly I’m hooked haha.
The face mist is £19.50, but of course we won’t pay that. So here’s a deal stack I snapped up last night that I thought you’d like too…
Amazon has it on sale from £19.50 to £15.60
Choose ‘Subscribe and Save’ option to get it for £14.82
Then tick the ‘Apply 10% voucher on first Subscribe and Save’ to get it for only £13.26 - that’s a 32% saving!
I ordered 3 at this price so I’m stocked up for a while. 🤣
🧠 Question
I know a lot us find it hard to make friends as we get older, and I’m loving doing ‘in real life’ events so we can all get together and meet other people who love saving money.
So Beth (@budgetingmumofficial) and I are planning a fun Christmas wreath making event in the run up to Christmas (more details coming soon!). My previous events have been in Glasgow, and this time we’re going south of the border! So which of these cities would suit you best?

And that’s a wrap!
Woohoo you made it to the end! Are there any deals you’d like to see in next week’s newsletter? Send me a reply as I’d love to hear them!

PS. The riddle answer is… they’re both in the middle of ‘water’. Did you get this week’s riddle right?
