Hey there! How’s your week been so far?

I’m heading back down to London this week for the Creatorfest event and it blows my mind every time how expensive the hotels are! But there’s 3 ways I save money on hotels:

  1. I always try to book hotels that are part of the Accor group (Novotel, Sofitel, Rixos etc), so I can build up my status on their rewards program called ALL - Accor Live Limitless to get free perks and upgrades. Honestly, I’ve no idea if it’s the best chain for rewards but I like the hotels and I’m committed now!

  2. I always book Accor hotels via TopCashback to get cashback. On my most recent booking I got £26.77 cashback. In total this year, I’ve had £213.78 cashback just from booking Accor hotels on TopCashback.

  3. I always pay with a credit card that gives me cashback or rewards and I can actually double stack the cashback by combining this with TopCashback.

(Wow I feel like that should be a drinking game where you take a shot every time I say ‘cashback’ haha!)

TopCashback is the first cashback platform I used years ago and it’s still one of my favourites - I check it every time I’m shopping online as it’s super easy to use.

Here’s the steps:

  1. Open the TopCashback website/app

  2. Search for the retailer you want to buy something from and you’ll see their cashback % rate

  3. Click the big pink ‘Get cashback’ button to open the retailer’s website

  4. Shop as normal on the website and you’ll be rewarded with cashback

That’s literally how easy it is! Your cashback will then become available to withdraw to your bank account a few weeks or months later (timescales vary depending on the retailer) so it’s a nice bonus when it comes through!

📱 Get A Refund on App Renewals

If you forgot to cancel an app before it renewed or after a free trial, you can potentially get a refund. I’ve done this 4x this year and had £117.96 refunded from Apple.

For Apple users, go to this website and log in with your Apple ID then choose your refund option as ‘Right of withdrawal’ within 14 days of the purchase/renewal. You’ll then get a decision within a day.

For Google users, go to this website and click ‘request refund’ and follow the steps. The website seems to say you have 48 hours for apps/in-app purchases and over 48 hours for movies, books and other content.

Get a free LEGO mini bag on Saturday

On Saturday 26th October from 9am, all Smyths Toys Superstores are hosting The Big LEGO Toy Event.

At the free event, you can get a free LEGO Mini bag. It looks like there’s 5 LEGO options available - Friends, Dreamz, City, Speed Championship (McLaren F1 car) and Despicable Me 4.

You can only get one bag per person and no purchase is necessary - although I feel like it’s impossible to take a child to Smyths Toys and not buy the whole shop haha!

💛 I Paint My Bathroom YELLOW

Remember a couple of weeks ago I asked you on IG stories what height I should put a dado/picture rail in my downstairs toilet?

Well, everyone agreed with the height Jamie said so we compromised and went with the height I said haha. 🤣

I actually decorated my downstairs toilet for a campaign with Dulux and B&Q to showcase Dulux’s Colour of the Year palette for 2025 and I’ve just posted the before and after - I love it!

You used to have to spend minimum £5.01 to use your £5 voucher, but I was in the shop yesterday and they actually told me it’s now £5.50 minimum spend to use the voucher - it apparently changed this week.
