Hey there! First of all, I owe you an apology…
Apparently, I botched the riddle answer in last week’s newsletter. And judging by your replies, some of you nearly ripped your hair out trying to prove me wrong. 🤣
Now listen… I never claimed to be some kind of Riddle Wizard™. I literally just copy them from the internet like everyone else, and the website swore blind the answer was Thursday. And who am I to argue with a mysterious online ‘Riddle Authority’?
The truth is, I tried to solve it myself, but after about 2 minutes my brain short-circuited and I tapped out. So I thought, ‘Fine, Thursday it is”. 🧠
But here’s the plot twist…
Thanks to your uproar, I’ve Googled it properly and discovered there might be multiple answers?! 😯I even ended up on a maths forum where people are drawing graphs and solving equations with X and Y… over a riddle. Send help.
So, let’s settle this once and for all: what do YOU think the real answer is?
If yesterday was tomorrow, today would be Friday. What day is it? |

Today only, selected items at Urban Outfitters are reduced to only £10 when you use code: SALE10

💭 Guess the Riddle
What’s in the middle of Toronto?
The answer is at the end of this newsletter.
🛒 Supermarket Comparison Site
Most people don’t know this… but you can check which supermarket is cheapest before you shop.
Trolley.co.uk is a free website and app that instantly compares grocery and toiletry prices across shops like Asda, Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons, Amazon, Boots, Savers and more.
All you do is search for the item on the app/website, and it’ll show you the prices side by side. You can even build a shopping list to see which shop will save you the most overall - perfect if you’ve got a few supermarkets nearby!
🍔 BOGOF Burgers at Shake Shack
Tomorrow, 21st August, is National Burger Day and you can get buy 1 get 1 free burgers at Shake Shack.
To get this deal, tap the link below and complete the form to get your code. Use this code at the kiosk or via the cashier in participating Shake Shack UK stores.
🛍️ This Week’s Amazon Deals
💫 Elemis Cleansing Balm 50g - 25% off
This is my favourite cleanser - it just feels like a luxury experience every time you use it! The original yellow balm is currently 25% off. Bonus: Set up a Subscribe & Save and you’ll get 29% off.
✈️ Travel Backpack - 31% off
I shout about this travel backpack whenever it’s on sale as I friggin’ love it! It’s usually £21.99 and it’s currently under £15 which is an absolute bargain. I’ve managed to pack 5 days worth of clothes in this bag and take it as my free carry on.
✨ August Deals List
There’s loads of great deals on Amazon just now and I’ve added my top picks to my August Deals List. I update this list regularly so it’s worth checking whenever you’re looking for something on Amazon.
🥘 50% Off Dishoom Glasgow
Until 28th August, you can get 50% off at the brand new Dishoom Glasgow. This is a soft launch offer whilst their team finalises their training and it seems to be walk in only.
I’m back in Glasgow next week for a few days so I’m definitely taking advantage of this deal as Dishoom is one of my favourite restaurants!
⭐️ ’Free’ New Parents Baby Box
New parents can get a free Baby Box Starter Kit when you spend £180 or more on selected nursery and baby items and use code: JLBABYBOX
The box includes 17 baby products such as Bugaboo, BIBS and Tomee Tippee. And there’s some luxury goodies for parents too, such as Clinique, Charlotte Tilbury and Sol de Janeiro.
So if you were planning to buy any of the selected nursery or baby items from John Lewis anyway, it’s a nice freebie.
🍕 GCSE Results Day - Pizza & Doughballs
On 21st and 22nd August, students with a GCSE results letter can get unlimited pizza and doughballs for £10 at PizzaExpress.
If you’re not a student… PizzaExpress has just improved their Pizza O’Clock deal that I shared with you last week. Until 29th August, you can now get unlimited pizza and doughballs all day for £17.50 per adult and £10 per child.
Previously, you were limited to 2-5pm and didn’t include doughballs so this is a much better, more flexible deal now!
🚗 50% Cashback - RAC Breakdown Cover
If you’re looking for a breakdown cover policy, you can get 50% cashback on all RAC Breakdown policies via TopCashback. This is a limited time offer.
Here’s how it works:
Sign up or login to your TopCashback account
Search for ‘RAC UK Breakdown Cover’ in the search bar on TopCashback
Review the listing and click the big pink ‘Get 50% cashback’ button
You’ll be taken to RAC’s website - complete a quote and purchase your policy if you’re happy with it
Your 50% cashback will show in your TopCashback account within 7 days, and you’ll be able to withdraw it once it’s at the ‘payable’ status
💰Bonus: Never used TopCashback before? Use my link below and you’ll get £10 sign up bonus once you’ve reached £10 cashback.
And that’s a wrap!
Woohoo you made it to the end! Are there any deals you’d like to see in next week’s newsletter? Send me a reply as I’d love to hear them!
Chloe x
PS. The riddle answer is… the letter “o”. I picked an easy one so I didn’t need to do another apology next week haha!
