Hey there! It’s been a busy month of birthdays with mine, my mum’s 70th and Jamie’s birthday so I’ve got some hotel, restaurant and activity recommendations for you.
Most are Glasgow/Scotland based, so if you’re local then great! But if you’re not, hopefully you’ll visit soon and can go to these places.
For my birthday, we stayed at Fairmont in St Andrews. The hotel was stunning and we got such a good deal on it! I just finished editing a video today with the deal so I’ll get it out to you soon.
For my mum’s 70th, her request was ‘steak and peppercorn sauce and Top Golf’. So I booked Maison by Glaschu in Glasgow and the food was really tasty. And then we went to Top Golf later in the week - I do find Top Golf expensive but it’s such a fun night out and my mum had a blast!
For Jamie’s birthday, we went to Bazaar. It’s a brand new restaurant that’s opened inside Habibi in Glasgow’s west end. It’s a speakeasy-style place where you get emailed a code to open the door to the secret restaurant (so cool!). The dips and falafel were amazing.

⚡️ Today’s Best Amazon Deals
I’ve spent the afternoon scouring Amazon and hand picking what I think are the best deals.
Similar to Prime Day, I’ve added them all to a list and sorted them into categories (so all Christmas items together, kitchen items together, beauty items together etc) and priced them low to high so you can browse through the list easily.
My top pick from this list is this 7ft Pre-Lit Christmas tree. It’s £149.99 down to £127.49 then there’s £20 voucher tick box which takes it to £107.49.
The tree looks super bushy with 1,115 tips -we got a pre-lit tree from Amazon a few years ago and it’s a game changer not having to faff about hanging the lights.
And my walking pad is on sale too - I paid £159.99 for it at the start of the year which I thought was a good deal, but it’s actually on sale for £139.99 when you apply the £30 voucher. Woohoo!

I’ve spent way too long thinking about this question today haha… I think I’d choose traffic lights!
Because there’s these traffic lights near my house that I get stuck at every day and I often sit there wondering how many hours (or days?!) of my life I’ve spent there just waiting. I know there’s probably a mindset shift I need to work towards of “I’m grateful to be able to drive and have the time to sit here at these lights“ but I’ve not reached that yet, maybe one day haha! 🤣
