Hey there! Before we get into this week’s deals, a really important heads-up.
🚨There’s been a wave of urgent product recalls across multiple retailers linked to sand potentially containing asbestos. This includes products like kids’ craft kids, coloured play sand, dig kits, candle kits, stretchy toys, the list goes on.
The most recent addition is 35 sand-filled doorstops from Dunelm, bought between January 2019 to February 2026.
You can see the current recall list below - it’s the most helpful article I found with a list of products and links to the Gov website with recall info for that product. You should be able to return the items for a refund. However, unless you have the receipt (and I presume most people won’t) your refund may not be for the full amount, but the last selling price - I’m looking into this as that doesn’t seem fair so I’ll update next week.
Personally, I’d avoid buying any products containing sand for the time being, and keep an eye on the Which? Instagram as they post recall notices.
